A little TWEE from CLEEBO

How do you clean your nose? I guess there is only a simple answer to it, but its only where and when you do it… But how do you clean your baby and/or toddler’s nose?

 

I believe that is the same challenge parents today faces when it comes to cleaning their children’s nose… We have 2 children, Megan of age 3 and Melody of age 1… For Megan, its more of ‘self service’ as we can see, her gross motor skills are very well developed… And I really do meant gross when she stick her finger into her mouth after she did the ‘you know what’… Occasionally, there are those very sticky and stubborn ones that refused to be ‘purged’ by herself, we’ll assist Megan to ‘excavate’ the infamous ‘black gold’…

How we did it? For me, I’ll go for my very last finger with nails to ‘excavate’ but my wife would prefer the cotton bud method that I never seem to master the technique… Imagine, using a chopstick to pick up a dumpling!

 

What of Melody then? Cotton bud is the only solution as our fingers are too big for her little nostrils…

If only we can use a pair of tweezers… No, not this pair of tweezers, of course!!

But this great creation by real parents themselves, THE CLEEBO!

I was approached by Sophie & Friends to review Cleebo and I never expect this tiny device to come in such attractive colours, great function, little price tag…

At first look, it looks like ordinary tweezers only that its made of plastic and not metal…

Once opened up, the Cleebo tweezers is in fact very soft to the touch, and command a firmer grip than traditional tweezers! And most importantly, it can be sterilized!

Happy Fathers Day!

Once, Megan asked me 'Daddy, why u so fierce?'

I replied 'I where got fierce lah?'

Megan 'Just now u scold Melody.'

Me 'No lah, daddy didn't scold Melody... She slept for 10 minutes and woke up, I only said 'like that call sleeping ah?'... I didn't scold her mah.'

Megan 'But Melody cannot talk mah.'

Me 'Then?'

Megan 'Then she cannot tell u she not tired mah!'

Hmmm... A very simple answer indeed... Being a father for the past 3 years made me realized, besides teaching our kids, there's also much to learn from our kids...

our 5th and last day in hongkong… and we’re going shopping again… as what others would say, last minute shopping… also to spend off the remaining cash, which is not very much to spend thou… :P

 

DISNEYLAND to CITYGATE

i really need to take my cap off for my BIL… i wonder where he got all those information about where to go… anyway, our last minute shopping venue is at Tung Chung, where there is this mall called the City Gate, and thats where we can find lotsa branded store outlets…

but first, the infamous disney train!

 

too bad, its only a station ride on the disney train…

i think daryl is kinda disappointed the next train isn’t disney… haha

nevertheless, so great view on the train ride…

oh ya, one more thing about the train system, the gap between the train and the platform is really wide…

as we only have half a day, we’re up for some fanatic shopping… thereafter, back to the disney train…

and we made a fanatic dash back to the hotel room, and a fanatic final packing, and a fanatic getting the kids dressed and ready for the flight back home, and a fanatic check out, and a fanatic bus ride to the airport…

so… moral of the story is… dun do last minute shopping at the last minute unless its not really the last minute… what am i talking?

anyway, soon we are on SQ back home…

and another unpleasant flight back home having to handle the kids on plane… but we managed to keep megan busy…

 

and sleeping…

and …

home sweet home…

not to mention the heavy nite rain that ‘welcome’ us home… and orchard road got flooded once again…

the 4th day… i guess we really had enough of the city and this day. we’re checking out of park hotel… one last few look… while waiting for our bus…

 

i got to admit, not only beer are cheap over there…

finally, the bus is here, and off we go…

 

PARK HOTEL to DISNEYLAND

nah, not yet… we’re checking in our hotel first… which is a 5-10 minutes free bus shuttle away… and here we are, disney hollywood hotel…

 

and the hotel is full of disney thingy… everything is mickey mouse… chairs, tables, lightings… and a tv showing disney channels at the lobby and best of all, disney giftshop, thats is always crowded!! i think the kids already thought they’re at disneyland!!!

megan torn out 2 black papers and exclaimed “daddy! i’m mickey mouse!”

finally managed to get our rooms… the hotel really need to buck up on their checking in services… anyways, here we go, the free shuttle bus to DISNEYLAND!

nah, this is only the signboard at the bus terminal… i would be utterly disappointed if this is the main gate!

 

 

don’t jump with joy yet, dear… we still haven’t reach the main gate yet…

 

 

 

 

still haven’t enter disneyland yet… but was about to… here we have, the disneyland tickets!

and we have entered the disneyland! but too much excitement spent outside the gate, and the moment we got in, we’re off to get our ‘protection’… the caps and the brolly… its a really really really hot day… most of my photos are overexposed! nevertheless, still tons of photos coming up…

the moment we got thru the main gate, there’s mickey and minnie photo session! but then, the queue was like super duper long… luckily we never queue up as it was also time for mickey and minnie to ‘retire’, leaving long queue of poor soul who didn’t got their chance for a photo shoot… nevertheless, we’re at a ‘strategic’ location when mickey and minnie are leaving…

 

at least megan got a photo shoot with mickey and minnie… she’s there, if u look closely… :S

finally… its coming to the end of the day… thou the day still look bright, we’re all drained… and the weather is really scorchingly skin burning hot! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

finally back to the hotel, all washed up and really for dinner… international buffet dinner… also, a very mickeyly themed restaurant… even the pastries are mickey shaped… oh ya, the pizza is also mickey shaped… really no time for photo, can’t stop eating…

 

 

 

 

 

lastly… here we are, back at our hotel room… all burnt out by the day time adventure, all well fed by the buffet… oh, they got a baby cot for melody! finally we’re going to have a good nite sleep…

 

good nite sleep? not quite so… melody woke up at the wee hours and kept crying… guess she’s having too much excitement… and megan, can’t seem to be affected by melody’s loud cries… i think the girls really enjoyed themselves today…

 

and me? i got myself a prized gift… woohooo!
