Oh ya, did I mentioned this is a free and easy, self drive trip? Yes, we decided a tour group will not be suitable for our kids as they don’t follow schedule… hence, we booked an apartment in Gold Coast, rented a car, and self drive around Gold Coast during our trip…
Singapore to Brisbane, is an 8 hour flight… Departure from Singapore, 9pm. Arrival at Brisbane, 7am. Seems like 10 hours? Brisbane is 2 hours ahead of Singapore time… very complex mathematic calculation needed, hence I will not elaborate further…

What we didn’t plan for, is me, totally knocked out after arrival at the resort… And when I woke up, its already late… 7pm actually, but its already pitch black at GC… and unfortunately, its raining heavily hence we are not able to cross over from our resort to Cavil… moreover, it’s a thunder storm, so we decided to drive thru the storm to search for food…
Unfortunately again, most shops, if not all shops close by 6pm on weekends, but we managed to find a Chinese restaurant in Australia Fair…
