a little walk at the fort canning hill

decided to go for a walk at the fort canning hill today… and so, getting ourselves ready once again… lotsa photo today, some were taken by joelle… she is improving wor…

thot there would be mainly slopes but we’re wrong… there were steps all around and hence, not ready pram-friendly…

then we realised that we had forgotten megan… who got ready bored and decided to do something to her fan…

there is a stage right at the center of fort canning green… some kind of rock concert thingy…

 

visited the fort canning centre… these doors looked familiar… seems like the part in the 小娘惹 drama where 陈锡 is helping his father in the 华商 voting thingy… i think…

 

was trying to get megan to pose then she starting crying… gosh, its her feeding time…

 

 

 

back to her active self after ‘makan’…

 

 

its a really hot day and we decided to call it a day… afterall, most if the places got really loooong stairs to climb, so we gave up…

 

lucky the underpass to park mall is still there…

 

 

joelle love the walls in the underpass and decided to use this as her facebook profile photo… think she kana complaint about her facebook profile photo…

 

but i think she should use this instead… something we found in the spotlight at ps…

 

okie… what a day… tired…

that means megan is 1 year, 4 month 4 days old on this day… and tomolo, its singapore’s b’day, as well as my brother’s b’day…

 

anyway, took a day off ytd to babysit megan as her nanny is not free. joelle wasn’t able to take leave and so, i’m home alone with megan… having another taste of sahd… which is, very difficult… here we go:

 

time: 0615 energy level: 100%	the bloody alarm went off marking the start of the day. while joelle getting ready to work, i dumped all the laundry into the washing machine… (for those who knows me, you already know what else i’ve dumped into the washing machine w/o joelle knowing…)
time: 0715 energy level: 99%	joelle leaving the house for work while i started to vacuum and mop the floor…
time: 0815 energy level: 79%	done with all the laundry and housework!
time: 0830 energy level: 89%	had a shower and had my energy level shot back up by 10%… and just as i thot i’m going to have time to surf, megan woke up! look at her hair… and the first thing she does is to check the phone… haa… the way she mimic the adults… time for her to shower anyway…
time: 0900 energy level: 79%	had my energy level down by another 10% after showering megan, with all those carrying and bending down and squatting down then standing up and carrying her out… phew, thats tough… and all these effort is worthy after seeing how refreshed megan looks after her shower… not to forget, trying to let her learn how to brush her teeth…
time: 1000 energy level: 50%	to make it a round figure, my energy level is down to 50%… in plain english, half-dead (half-alive, if you’re an optimistic reader)… and if my mcd bfast still don’t arrive in the next minute, i’ll be dead…
time: 1001 energy level: 49%	and thank god, my mcd finally came…
time: 1030 energy level: 70%	alrighty, had my bfast… energy up… time to cook megan’s lunch…
time: 1100 energy level: 50%	trust me, you never know how tiring it was for a person who can’t cook to … cook… finally prepared megan’s meal… and all she had is only half a bowl of porridge, 2 lumps of meat, 1/4 hard-boiled egg and 2 slices of carrot…  make her milk instead, and praying that she might want to sleep so i can had another shower while she sleeps… i’m sticky all over lor…
time: 1500 energy level:   1%	and the then she just simply don’t wanna sleep lor… no matter how i tried… and so, i accompanied megan watching tv, reading, playing until 3pm then she started yawning… my chance to take a nap… better settle my toilet business and shower while she sleeps…
time: 1600 energy level:   50%	never did i expected megan to wake up so soon… only 1 hour of sleep… just after i stepped out of the toilet, she’s waking up…
time: 1800 energy level:   0.1%	from then on, its back to the watching tv, reading to megan and playing with her till its time to meet joelle at lot1…

so… notice i only had a meal for the whole day? i was so hungry and low in energy that after our dinner at ajisen, i had mcd for supper 3 hours later…

its not easy being sahd… i wonder how the others did it… :P

what i actually meant was megan wearing fox… anyway, we decided to attempt going out to orchard today without interrupts… (remembered last weekend, where joelle’s shopping trip is called off due to my runny nose and megan puking all over at suntec)…

so… we’re all ready to go…

while joelle showers, megan helped me to do the packing… unpacking actually…

and so, i got to ‘distract’ her by showing her RAIN’s concert again… and then, i got distracted by megan’s dancing moves…

and she got tired…

alrighty, time to wear your shoes and lets get going…

and once we reached town, we went shopping and grabbing what we wanted to buy… (psst, rach, with no runny nose and pukey megan this time, joelle got want she wanted… phew!)

and megan can’t get her hands off this care bear… sweet eh?

in the end, we didn’t buy it… she is not a soft toy person, as what we observed at home… anyway, more camwhoring…

and after we got our things, we headed to the new kid on the block, the ion… it turned out to be so darn crowded, we decided to have our dinner instead… where almost every restaurant is having long queue… so we decided to head back to our fav eating place…

 

 

 

the ah meng cafe! from pat-tor till now, wow, so many years liao… and ah meng is still collecting money at the cashier… keke…

a short walk at centerpoint after a hearty dinner… before heading home…
