Recently...

It had been quite some time since I last blogged. Gosh, wonder how many times I've used the first sentence as the starting of my posts...

Anyway, Megan and Joelle had fully recovered from the stomach flu virus and thanks to all whom expressed their concern, we're deeply grateful.

And right after Joelle recovered, we headed straight to get our first ever iPhone! Oh well, the 'sad' story started when joelle's samsung died on her and that sparkled our search for a new handphone. After a long series of battle deciding between M1 or Singtel, iPhone or galaxy. If u want to know the full story of why we go for iPhone and stayed with M1, drop me an email... Haa...

Overall, iPhone is quite satisfactory minus the battery life thou. The apps are great so far, ok, I wouldn't go into the details cuz iPhone already in the market for so long liao and I may look sua ku talking about it now... (suppressing my excitement now)...

Ok, I beta end this quick cuz I'm nearing megan's school. Yup, I typed this while on a bus ride from home to megan's school. And yup, I'm not working today, cuz mc for 2 days. And yup, it's the haze. And yup, think melody got it from me and Megan... Haiz...

yup, same blog title twice in a row… cuz they really are my 我的宝贝s!

but before that, right after megan recovered from her stomach fu, poor joelle gotten it and got to take a medical leave on friday… and hence, melody couldn’t come home on friday nite… however, joelle recovered on sat and we went visit melody on sunday! :)

so… can’t help to have more photo of melody…

 

oh ya, melody is on walker already! haha… but she can only go reverse lah…

another heart straining episode happened over the weekend… megan was down with stomach flu and kept vomiting every and anything she ate on sunday…

it was until afternoon, we decided we should send megan to KKH… and there we waited for quite a looong while before seeing the doctor…

megan was given the stomach flu medicine, that was staffed up her… oh well…

thereafter, she was given the pedialyte freezer pops, some drinks to help prevent dehydration from all the vomiting… and was to administer 30ml every 15 minutes, 1 hour after the stomach flu medicine was inserted… which meant, we had to wander at KKH for 2 hours plus…

all was good, as after the stomach flu medicine, megan didn’t throw up when we gave her the freezer pops… and hence, she’s allowed to go home… (if vomiting persist, she may be admitted to hospital!)

however, still no solid food for her yet, hence the whole nite, megan couldn’t sleep well and poor baby, bet she’s darn hungry… and of course, we don’t get to sleep a wink either… and thank god, the next day, she is recovering well and we slowly gave her porridge to more solid food…

can’t imagine, having to go to KKH within 5 months interval for my 2 darlings… first it was melody with flu, then it was megan with stomach flu…

 

recalling that sunday morning, when megan first puked on her mattress, i was so frustrated that i scolded her, and put her in the toilet and forbidden her to come out while i cleaned the mess… there she was crying badly… and when i realised something is really wrong when she kept vomiting, we sent her to the hospital, and when we’re at the pharmacy collecting megan’s medicine, i said to megan ‘baby, this morning daddy scold you when you vomited, i’m sorry ok… you angry with daddy?’

sweet, forgiving megan shake her head and continued burying her head on my chest…

 

anyway, done up a small little clips on the sisters…

biweekly snippets

i used to do weekly snippets post, summarising happenings over the whole week… now its biweekly snippets! had been quite a while since i last blogged… there’s always excuses for everything, right? for this, can only attribute to tiredness…

megan was down with flu 2 weeks ago and her cough is getting really bad. hence, last weekend, melody don’t came back home and joelle took melody to take refuge at her parents’ place. (after our first negligence that landed melody 3 days in hospital, we learnt our lesson, the hard way)

i’ll be alone with megan back at home… and the most life-threatening question raised by joelle was ‘how is megan’s meal going to be settled?’

that leave me clueless, cuz u all know hoe ‘well’ i can cook… and even a good cook can get extremely demoralised by megan, the fussy eater… BUT, thanks to joanne, whom inspired me to do lunch box for megan… at least its a snack in between meals (which most likely going to be tabao food)…

so… for sat, i prepared this…

and for sun, i prepared this…

in the end, joelle misses us so much after the first friday nite stay, the next day i brought megan over to reunite the whole family… and of course, megan’s meals were settled, so were mine… keke…

but of course, as megan’s coughing always get worst at nite, both of us went back home to sleep… whom puked at 4am that very nite after coughing in her sleep… arrgghh…

 

that aside, did i mentioned megan brought a microphone to school for her children day mini performance? oh ya, her school is celebrating children’s day, and every children is asked to perform something in school, and we couldn’t think of what to let megan perform but to do what she is ‘best’ at… no, i’m not referring to her proficiency in puking… her singing lah! these are taken off from her teacher’s facebook… :P

she must be singing something with lotsa feelings…

later i know from her teachers, megan is singing ‘mummy daddy. i love you’… come on everyone, say ‘awww…’!

 

now, since megan had won the battle with the flu bug, melody is finally returning home! and the sisters waste no time getting together for a shot… ok, its their daddy whom waste no time, getting them together for a shot… (hey, guess what? they were always wearing pink whenever they get together for a shot!)

 

 

megan decided she wanna be like her daddy, being the photographer and used a old damaged handphone to take melody’s photo… megan’s access to a working camera is temporary grounded ever since she… ok, refer to this yourself…

alrighty… ending this post now… i hope my next post dun have to wait this long… but then, being a parent of 2 makes having free time for anything else seems impossible…thou melody is not home most of the time, but settling megan during the weekends is already a challenge, let alone say, melody’s returning home on weekends… :P
