i felt like a rechargeable battery

no matter how i recharge, it wouldn’t go back to 100%… just like all rechargeable batteries, you’ll never get the same energy level as the cell gets old…

it was an hectic last week when melody was hospitalised, right after melody is discharged from the hospital, megan and i put up at mil’s place to get the girls separated until both have recovered.

and that means, i would need to feed, shower and wash megan and my own clothings for the next 3 days… and the nite ain’t getting any better as megan woke up in the middle of the nite crying… maybe not used to sleeping in different place…

and to make the matter worst, work isn’t smooth either… office power trip lah, office iso audit lah, office this and that… haiz…

i am not IRONMAN… :P

anyway, thats how things have to be… for being parenthood… and for being parents of two… now i really appreciate those tiny little helps by relatives to bring megan to playground, to carry melody when she cries, to fetch megan from school, to help feed melody… those 5 minutes of relieve enable us to regroup and recharge, thou not 100%, but a little more to carry on…

most of the time when i took a cab home from work, the cabbie uncle will mention its a loong way home and very expensive, and sometimes would ask why rush home on a friday evening? i would reply the cabbie uncle cuz need to fetch daughter from childcare… the cabbie uncle will like sound surprised that i have a daughter… and normally they will turn behind and look at me when i mentioned i have 2 daughters…

so i look too young to have 2 daughters? i dun think so… in fact, i think i aged faster even since i’m a father… i guess, it’s because everyone else are having children at an older age, when they’re more financially, emotionally, or whateverly ready to have kids…

but i must say, the longer you wait, the harder it gets… put aside its harder to get pregnant… its even harder to raise them up… cuz its just that tiring…

sometimes, joelle and me would wonder, how others seems to get by so easily… then we realised, its much easier to see others getting by then to get it by themselves… its always the same saying “看人家养很容易”...

okie dokie, enuff ramblings… nobody say it would be easy anyway… but behind those tiredness, frustrations, headaches, sleepless nites, we’re rewarded by the intangible happiness brought to us by megan and melody… which must be captured…

for melody, who sometimes twit a little smile on her cutie face for her tiring father…

for megan, who keep saying “daddy, i love you” sweetly for her sour-faced father…

all these really meant a lot to me… and i dun look that tired already… at least not in this shot…

and again, for megan, who couldn’t stop making her energy-deprived father to have additional energy to laugh out loudly when she did this…
