this morning, joelle vomited twice... we are so bloody anxious...
well, its confirmed by the doc, joelle is pregnant... i'm going to be a father... and joelle is going to be a mother... and my parents, going to be grandparents for the first time... gonna break the news to them on this friday, can't imagine whats their reaction going to be... and guess what, estimated delivery date is 3rd april 2008... my bday is 4th april!!!
now we got to decide on our gynae. for the next 2 weeks, got to find friends and relatives to find out which gynae is good... sianz, first time parenthood, really 不知头不知尾... feel so lost...
for a starter, the doc advise us not to take coffee, tea or carbonated drinks as these drinks are acidic and contain caffeine that increases the mother's heartbeat and hence, the baby's...
well, after a little internet research, food recommended to eat:
1. fruits and veggie (for vitamins)
2. bread, cereal, rice, potato (for fiber)
3. meat and fish (for protein and iron)
4. milk and dairy food (for calcium)
hmmm... pretty much normal meals...
most importantly: folic acid
its an important B vitamin, vital for the growth and health of all the cells in the body and it reduces the risk of the baby being affected by neural tube defects... in simple english, must eat this!
food to avoid:
1. unpasteurized (unsterilization) milks
2. soft, ripened cheeses

4. raw and undercooked eggs

6. mayonnaise
7. shark, marlin, swordfish and tuna (high mercury)

enuff of that... i'm not a doc, and internet thingy also dun know can believe or not... we'll seek professional advises from the professionals... which means, we should get our gynae soon, if not, sooner... well, i guess i was overjoyed... finally we are moving another step forward to parenthood... love ya, dear...
oh ya, put aside the baby talks, i bought a garment rack after joelle's checkups... its a rack to errr... hang garment lor... aiya, i'll use it to hang my shirts after i've ironed them... only $38, after bargaining with the 五金店 uncle. (originally was $42.50)...
not bad leh...
