boxing day! (way overdue)

time to unwrap those pressies… here’s a little pressie we got for megan… oh, did i mentioned ‘little’?

its a lego thingy except its bigger and its called mega blocks… megan’s first building set.

and she adore it… can’t keep her hands off her new toy and started building thingys…

 

i don’t know about you guys, but i’m seeing leaning tower of pisa and the eiffel tower…

 

we’re really glad she like her x-mas pressie…

 

not until she had other ideas… trying to be spongebob…

 

 

we had to ‘distract’ her from being spongebob by letting her opening up the rest of the pressies…

 

 

 

 

 

thanks to all for the lovely pressies, we don’t really have the time to photograph every pressie as megan is too fast tearing open the pressies before us…

 

and this year, i’m getting a pressie too! from my lovely wife, megan’s caring mother, joelle… my first reaction when i saw this on my desk… “oh shit, i didn’t get anything for her…”

(i must clarify here that we agreed not to buy gifts for x-mas for each other, but making time for each other is a must…)

but i must say, i’m overjoyed indeed… (secretly hopping its a fisheye lenses or maybe Wii…)

 

and taa daa! its my favouritest fav cologne, cool water from davidoff… this is my fav perfume not because of the nice sweet smell, not because of the way it lingers after long hours… because its my first gift from joelle back in the par-tok dayz…

 

thanks dear, for the lovely and meaningful pressie… i adore it very much, so much that i still can’t bear to use it yet… :P

recently, while watching tv programs on 东风, megan would suddenly point at 潘伟伯 and say “daddy…” and to 侯佩岑“mummy…”

wah say, 暗HIGH leh… keke…

 

ok ok, now to the main topic… we went to the singapore science centre during last sunday… reason being, we don’t wanna keep staying at home, and the older kids (dominic, daryl and valerie) shouldn’t keep staying at home during their holidays, and of course, this free admission voucher from megan’s milk powder promo… :P

in the end, only dominic and valerie wanna go… daryl just wanna be 宅男 with his facebook games… anyway, here we go…

the most interesting part of the exhibit…

oh ya, while queuing to get her head ‘chopped’ a little boy jumped queue when it was megan’s turn to pop her head, guess what? she screamed “GO AWAY!” that little one is really chilli wor… her form teacher even told us, during her kids-gym session, a boy jumped queue and she screamed and said “No!”… 咱们家小辣椒不是好欺负的!

then comes this cool you-walk-and-got-light-ripples effect… then sent megan running to and back and to and back until…

her shorts are dropping down and we changed her a dress, and she continued running…

then she went over to this… can’t see what it was with the flash…

after that, it was the kids running all over the place, touching the exhibit and seeing nothing interest them, off they ran to another exhibit… and that left us no time to look around the exhibit too… and anyway, some of the exhibit ain’t working also…

something finally interest me to pull out my camera…

 

the trip was fun with the kids, but somehow quite disappointed with the exhibits, cuz after so many years since i last went to the science centre, it still look pretty much the same, and the crappy old man is still climbing up the ropes in the middle of the centre…

but… it was fun making fun of valerie as we keep saying wanna go over to the next hall and donate her body to the… BODY WORLDS… haa…

its a GIRL!!!

went for our detail scan today and we confirmed that our baby is a princess!! megan is going to be a sister to a little sister! and we’re going to have our 2nd thousand gold (千金)!

joelle looked at me and said… “你惨了”...

 

i began to comprehend what joelle meant by that… i’m going to be surrounded by…

no transformer action figures, no war movies, no halo games on xbox… but on the bright side, when i get older with 2 young daughters…

hmmm… :)

megan’s third day at childcare

this morning, didn’t managed to wake up on time cuz the bloody rain is making us super lethargic… nevertheless, managed to reach megan’s childcare center by 8:15am… 1 hour later than what we supposed to achieve…

as usual, megan cried and is reluctant to go in and we got to coax her again… and we have to go in else she wouldn’t want to step in at all… however, she is ok when she got in and saw all the toys and kids…

i managed to say goodbye to her and gave her a goodbye kiss, and she seems pretty ok about it… and hence, started megan’s 3rd day at childcare…

we wanted to watch megan from the windows but due to my “nature call” , i got to rush to the loo at the nearby mcd… (the thing about kfc’s latest pepper chicken is, its hot and spicy when it went in last nite… its hot and spicy when it came out this morning… kaoz…)

where was i?? oh ya, after i’m done with the hot and spicy, we went back and saw her teacher feeding megan bfast, and after that, assembly time… where megan had to sit right in front of her row… (anyway, she is the only one in her row… haa)

we didn’t realised she actually spotted us peeking from the windows and she started “mummy, mummy ah…” again… with tears… her teacher managed to calm her down, but after a while it seems she still able to spot us despite how well camouflaged we are (btw, joelle wearing bright red top this morning…)

so then i found out, megan actually spotted us from the mirror reflection in the music room… so we got to change our tactic and relocate our base to higher ground… the multistorey carpark beside the childcare center… and we got this:

megan’s second day at childcare

due to the heavy downpour this morning, we only managed to reach the childcare center after 9am… megan was reluctant to enter the center and cried when we tried ushering her in…

however, we managed to coax megan in and her teacher brought out some books and megan went in, take a seat, and started ‘reading’… we managed to say goodbye to megan who wasn’t keen to let us go… however, she was coaxed back to the books by her teacher once again, and there we took our chance to make the slip away…

after our bfast, we went back to the center and found megan just had her shower… and she caught us peeking from the windows and started “mummy… mummy ah…”… there’s no point for us to hide and went in to accompany her while waiting for her lunch to be served…

we made the slip once again when she is ushered to the loo to wash her hands before eating… after seeing she is eating and not crying, we made our way home… we realised, megan is doing pretty well at the childcare center, so long she don’t see us lurking at the windows… :P

 

anyway, once home, i reckon i better get this done up cuz i don’t like referring to the paper when packing megan’s bag every nite…

went back to fetch megan after 5pm, a little later than ytd… and there she was, singing songs with her teacher… happily… she is adapting well, i must say…

so, while on our way back, we decided to bring megan for a haircut… and a new haircut for day 3 tomolo… day 3, a full rehearsal of whats actually going to happen when the real thing comes, 7+am till 6+pm…

megan’s first day at childcare

this morning, all of us woke up early for megan’s first day at childcare… looking at megan wearing school uniform standing beside her bag, i realised 女儿长大了.. (secretly wiping away the little teardrop… hey, not so that dramatic lah!)

and finally, making our way out… gonna take a bus ride to the childcare center… and megan is a little confused why this morning she is not strapped to her pram anymore…

nevertheless, she always enjoy and wanted to be out of the pram for a good run…

one more shot before we making the dash for the oncoming bus…

once we reached megan’s childcare center, we were settling some administrative paperworks and megan just wondered into the childcare center after having her temperature taken… without saying goodbye to us… and there and then, started her first day at childcare…

while waiting for assembly, there were toys for entertainment… megan just forgotten about daddy and mummy… it was until they were instructed to keep the toys and getting ready for bfast, megan seems to start looking for something… or looking for us… who were basically playing hide and seek the whole day…

the teachers were quick to handle megan’s anxiety and settled her down for her bfast, her first meal on her first day at childcare… tao sha bao…

which of course, don’t think she is eating it anyway… haa… right after she made a mess of her bfast, everyone is getting ready for the next activity, and megan SAW US!!! or rather, she saw joelle lurking outside the window and began pointing at our direction and “mummy… mummy…”

 

you can imagine joelle and me ducking for cover as if being showered by machine gun bullets… once again, the teacher is quick enuff to calm  megan down and bring her to the next activity, megan’s fav activity… music and singing… now she totally forgotten about us…

and i really meant totally forgotten about us… btw, it does seems everyone is towering over megan, thats because she is the only one in her playground (the rest are older kids)… megan’s first classmate comes in at jan, meaning she’s having both english and chinese teacher for herself… cool…

 

 

 

 

after seeing she is taking things well, we headed home to rest… and not really resting for me as i took this chance to clean up the house and get this little surprise gift ready for megan when she is back from her first day at childcare… a little gift to reward megan for being such a brave little girl…

meanwhile, megan’s nanny went over to take a peek at megan with her kids and found that the curtains were down as it was her nap time… however, they heard megan saying “不要...”

she don’t want to sleep?? hmmm…

we went back to the center after 4pm, and found megan playing with her english teacher… this time, we let her sees us at the window and she actually waved at us and said goodbye… and she started tearing when we walked out of sight from the windows to the gate, maybe she thot we going off… :P

after talking to her teacher, we realise that she actually not able to sleep at her nap time but only managed to sleep 1 hour later, maybe unfamiliar environment… everything else is as per normal and she is coping well and the teacher asked if she had been to other center before… :P

and the teacher mentioned megan is quiet… we were like, quiet?? … no comment… haa…

while on our way back, megan seems like wanting to tell us what’s going on around her today, cuz as she was holding our hands, jumping and humming songs, she would turn to me and “daddy…” (just maybe she don’t know how to put them into words…, but i felt it…)

and of course, i felt her happiness when she open up her pressie…
