in respond to teresa's question,

about joelle's discomfort after giving birth to megan...

not that i don't wanna blog about it... just don't wanna scare those who are married and do not have baby yet... oh well, since teresa asked, i might as well do it... keke... with joelle beside me, here we go:

1. it is very scary to be pushed into the operation theatre. especially with those stadium-spotlights shining on you...

2. it is very stressful not being able to produce milk the first few days when your little one is wailing for food...

3. it is even more stressful when you can produce milk but your little one is used to bottle feed and is lazy to latch on...

4. you'll feel extremely lost when you reached home with your baby and there is no one else to help or advise you on what to do...

5. you'll feel even more extremely lost when there are too many 'helpful' advices coming in... so sometimes, the best advice is not to have advice...

6. joelle still feel fat even after megan is delivered... but breastfeeding really helps the losing weight part... i meant, who can achieve 9kg weight lost in 12 days? and to prove if daddy is a helpful one, he must lost at least 2kg + too... :P

7. expressing milk, is not a one person job... even thou its your own breasts, its difficult to massage them yourself... and so, daddy's help comes in... i told joelle, "dear, i realised i've been touching your breasts now more than any other time... in a non-sexual way, of course..."

8. not able to shower is a torture... never live with parents if you want to have a comfortable confinement period... cuz, no one controls you at all... (see, i did warn about not wanting to scare people off right?)

9. c-sect wound can get really itchy, so god bless you if you live with parents who totally restricts showering. thank god we're on our own...

10. if you are a vegetarian... i dun know, maybe migrate to a place where confinement food don't exist... i meant, its meat meat meat, meal after meal... personally... i kinda like confinement food... hee... joelle was like "these few days, i've eaten the most meat in my whole life..." (like a tiger!!!)

11. whenever naggy relatives visit, switch off fans, close all windows, wear long sleeves and long pants... and make them as uncomfortable as possible... cuz, by doing so, you can save your ears from their nagging and chase them away at the same time... after that, shower, air-con, fan, do whatever you want... haha

12. of course, item 11 cannot be achieved if you're living with parents...

13. of course, item 12 is made worst if you're living with parents who totally restricts showering...

14. and when shampooing is a no no, i don't think joelle would allow me to take photo of her with a oily messy hair... of course, joelle does 偷偷洗了几次... but why 偷偷 wor? we're on our own, remember? but our kind nanny do nags at joelle... keke...

all in all, every discomfort is eliminated by seeing megan smile everyday... and as accurate as how joelle puts it "no batches and emails!"

kaoz... joelle just browsing thru her photos in my phone and commented "wah, b, 以前我那么瘦... GAN NING NA EH!"
